That boils down to a bunch of UNWANTED animals, which means euthanasia is the end result. As responsible pet owners, we can make a difference. By having your pet spayed or neutered you will be doing your part in preventing the birth of unwanted puppies and kittens, help protect against some serious health problems and may reduce many of the behavioral problems associated with hormones.

Removing a female dogs or cats ovaries ELIMINATES heat cycles and reduces unwanted hormonal behavior that tend to frustrate owners to no end. Early spaying can help protect them from health problems later in life such as breast cancer and uterine infection (deadly pyometra).

Removing a male dogs or cats testes reduces the breeding instinct, which makes them less inclined to roam looking for a “girlfriend.” Early neutering can also lessen the risk of your pet developing health problems such as benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate gland) and testicular cancer.

The procedure has no effect on a pet’s intelligence or ability to learn, play, work or hunt. Some pets tend to be better behaved following surgical removal of their ovaries or testes.

So lets do our part in reducing the number of unwanted litters and helping our pets live longer lives.. Wouldn’t you want your pet to live as long as they could??
